Are you interested in becoming a Beekeeper?

Or would you like to experience what it’s like to be around these amazing insects, and learn more about our planet’s perfect pollinators?

We run Bee Experiences on Saturdays from 2pm – 5pm, at our apiary in Cardiff. And we now have the following dates available for 2024.

Bee Experiences cost £70 per person, or you can buy 2 places for £120, and this includes a honey 'fresh off the comb' taster, a goody bag, and refreshments.

There will be lots of opportunities to take photos, ask as many questions as you like, and you’ll get lots of hands on experience with the bees, getting up close and personal, and tasting their honey, fresh from their hive, off the honeycomb .

We have an outside undercover seating area where you can eat your own picnic, and a shop for you to browse in while you’re with us. We also sell drinks and snacks.

We provide all the protective gear you need, just bring a pair of wellies or boots with you.

We make up gift packs if the Bee Experience is for a 'special someone', and this includes a gift certificate for you to give. We can also provide mini jars of honey, beeswax candles, and a variety of other honey products, to give with your voucher, if requested.

Our BEE EXPERIENCE offers the sort of special memory that makes for a great Birthday surprise, Valentine's gift, Mother's Day treat, or Easter holiday wonder.

We also accommodate private groups of up to 10 people who wish to have an experience day just for them. These private sessions can be run after 4pm on weekdays or weekends.

We are quite weather dependent, so if it's raining on the date you choose we may contact you on the morning and re-arrange another date that suits you.

Places are limited so book when you can to avoid disappointment. We already have 50 places booked onto 2022 from those we couldn’t fit in this year.

Once you book, we'll send you confirmation of your date, some information, and a reminder email next April. If you end up not being able to make it when the time comes, we'll do our best to accommodate you on a date that suits.
